Reporting to the Director, Growth Web Experience, you will plan, scope, and deliver high-impact web initiatives against our business goals. You will own the team’s execution, operational rigor, and technical excellence, while also coaching and developing world-class web engineering talent. What to expect: Technical Leadership & Execution Ownership Drive reliable, high-quality delivery across sprints, ensuring the team meets expectations with predictable velocity and strong throughput. Implement and refine agile development practices (e.g., sprint planning, grooming, standups, retrospectives) to enable fast iteration and alignment across stakeholders. Optimize developer workflow, removing blockers, clarifying priorities, and improving processes to enhance team efficiency. Use engineering metrics (cycle time, velocity, backlog health, quality indicators) to guide planning and continuous improvement. Ensure stable, safe, and timely releases through strong QA practices, technical reviews, and operational discipline. Partner with Web Experience, Design, and Growth teams to implement A/B tests, new components, SEO improvements, and data-driven optimizations. Team Leadership & People Management Manage, mentor, and grow a team of web developers (front-end and/or full-stack), ensuring clarity of expectations, accountability, and performance outcomes. Set and drive performance goals for the web engineering team, with a focus on Core Web Vitals, accessibility standards (WCAG), uptime, release reliability, and technical debt reduction. Conduct regular 1:1s, career growth conversations, performance reviews, and succession planning. Recruit, hire, and onboard world-class engineering talent while maintaining a healthy, high-performing team. Cross-Functional Collaboration Translate stakeholder requirements into clear engineering plans, ensuring feasibility, accuracy, and timeline alignment. Act as the technical liaison to non-technical partners, communicating trade-offs, risks, and opportunities effectively. Ensure strong collaboration with Analytics teams to enable accurate tracking, measurement, and experimentation. Compliance, Security & Governance Ensure all web properties adhere to security best practices, privacy requirements, accessibility standards, and compliance guidelines (e.g., ADA, GDPR).
